This morning, United management issued a Safety Alert updating their guidance communicated previously on September 28, 2021.

Effective September 27, 2021, COVID-19 vaccination cards are required duty items for U.S. based Flight Attendants not participating in the Reasonable Accommodation Process, regardless of status as a lineholder or Reserve and without regard to the destination of your flight assignment.

At several international destinations, local authorities will require that you provide proof and will request to see your original vaccination card.

Your original vaccination card is your primary proof of vaccination.  If you are in the process of obtaining or replacing your card, in the interim you may use one of the following:

  • A picture or photocopy of your original vaccination card, or
  • The PeopleSoft™ Vaccination Pass from Flying Together.

Having said this, you should obtain the most up to date information about country specific entry requirements from the COVID-19 page on Flying Together at:

Flying Together >> Our Airline >> COVID-19 (Coronavirus) >> Crew Travel Restrictions

If you do not have your vaccination card with you as you prepare to fly into these countries, you must contact Crew Scheduling to be removed from pairing without pay.
