We should be clear. The decision about what our individual future holds is not only challenging, it is personal. While this decision making involves a number of options anywhere along the spectrum from a possible career change to retirement, any such decision must be right for you and you must be prepared professionally, emotionally and financially to make whatever transition you may elect.
We have received reports from several of you in the field that you have received calls from company personnel encouraging you to take advantage of the VSP2 simply because you are a certain age or have more than ten (10) years of service. We strongly encourage you not to allow yourself to feel pressured to make this decision. Review the materials available via both Help Hub and, on the Fidelity NetBenefits™ website. Most importantly, review the Voluntary Separation Program FAQ to ensure you are aware of those decisions that are final and binding and that cannot be undone once you elect the program and advance beyond the revocation window.
The application window for Voluntary Separation Program closes on at 23:59:59 US Central on Thursday, June 18, 2020.
