About the AFA App

Back in 2013, your MEC Communication Committee launched an AFA mobile application.

At the time, having a separate mobile application helped to bridge the gap between the United MEC’s aging fixed-width website design and the explosive growth of mobile devices.

Flash forward to 2018 and our latest redesign of this website.

The responsive design of this new site has now rendered obsolete the idea of maintaining a separate app. The new United MEC website is responsive across all devices, present and future. It's not tied to any single corporation's locked down app store, and all content here is freely available 24/7 on the World Wide Web. Additionally, any edits/changes in content made by MEC Communications instantaneously appear on computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, as well as just about any device that can be connected to the internet.

Therefore, no further development will be done for the AFA app -- and it has now been respectfully retired.
